Whether UGC Will Make an order to fill vacant positions in Colleges?

A Request has been raised that the UGC Should release the order to fill the Teacher positions kept vacant in the colleges.

The University Grants Commission UGC had ordered to fill all the vacant positions in the University within next year. This Work has been already started in some of the Universities. Recently 90 positions were filled in the Chennai University. Now also the Interview was going on.

At the Same time, 10 thousand positions are still kept vacant in the Government and Government aided colleges in Tamilnadu.  The Students are involved in the protests stating that no qualified teachers were present in the Government aided colleges in the Erode, Coimbatore.

One of the educationalists had released an information that: “Many Government aided colleges are getting funds from the U.G.C. So they should order to fill the vacant positions.

In most of the Colleges there was a situation exists that the Visiting professors are taking the classes. There was an approval given that the vacant positions will be filled only in some of the few government aided colleges. The UGC should also Investigate this.”
