RRB Exam – confusion in the Attestation, lot of youngsters is in trouble
Chennai: The Rule of Attaching the Attested certificate copies while applying for the Government job, was cancelled. However, the railway recruitment board had cancelled many applications because of no proper attestation in the certificate Copies.
Because of this issue, thousands of youngsters are not able to take the Group D Railway Exam.
The Railway Recruitment Board had published an advertisement on 21st Sep 2013 for the selection of employees for Group D positions in Southern Railway. Totally 5430 vacancies are available. This exam is to be conducted from 2nd of November and it is to be carried out in 5 Stages. In between this the Central Government had made an announcement that “There is no need of getting the Attestation i.e getting the signature from the Government officers in the Certificate Copies which is needed to be attached while applying for the Job”
But the Railway recruitment board had not considered this announcement and they had rejected thousands of Applications received for Group D Exam, because of the reason of not having the attested certificate copies. Particularly the youngsters from Tamilnadu were not able to write the Group D Exam.
Totally 11 lakh Applications are received for the 5,450 vacant Group D Positions. The Applicants had made a Complaint that thousands of applications are rejected under this method.
When the many of the Applicants Approached the Railway board they had told that” the Central Government had not released any information regarding the attestation while releasing the Job notification, so the Applications without the attested certificate copies are rejected”
In regard to this, the Marxist Group Rajya sabha MP Rangarajan had told that: “The Group D Job notification ad in English released by the Railway board had consists of information that the attestation is needed in the certificate copies, but the Group D Job notification ad in Tamil consists of information that the attestation is not needed in the certificate Copies and the applicants can submit the self attested certificate copies along with the application.
Online Application facility is also arranged for this exam. It was mentioned that the self attestation of certificate copies is enough to make the Application through online. Last year, The Railway recruitment board had accepted the applications even though they do not have the attested certificate copies. But this Year they had rejected many Applications because of not having the attested certificate copies. This is not acceptable.”
Protests had been occurred when the Applicants from the Karnataka, Maharashtra and from other regions are tried to write the Railway Exam. The Applicants are drove away from the exam Place. Because of this the Exam was going to be conducted at the same time in all Regions.
Now the Applications from the Youngsters of Tamilnadu are rejected in the Railway Exam Without any proper Reason. This will create a problem in Tamilnadu. So, the Railway recruitment board should take some necessary action on this and they should accept the applications of the Tamilnadu youngsters and they should allow them to write the Exam.
