Nalanda university started working from September 19
Nalanda university is a very precious university in india, due to some foreign invades it was destroyed and it remains closed so far. Due to effort of various peoples it was reconstructed again and it started educational service nearly after 800 years. The credit of inaugurating the university goes to our external affairs minister sushma swaraj. After the occasion of reopening the university minister said “Its proud for me to reopen this university”. The new campus which was constructed now is nearly 12km away from the old campus and the place is called raajkeer. It was renewed with modern facilities,
In the inauguration event Bihar Chief Minister Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, Ambassadors of Singapore and Thailand and other important persons were participated to make it more special.
First batch classes is going on in university from September 1, it contains 15 students. It is expected that full construction work of the university will complete in 2020. Through a recruitment recently university selected faculty members for various departments. Currently It have two department which are department for historical studies and department for ecology and environment related education. Professors are selected from foreign origins too for these departments.
Central government has planned to build modern campuses in the university and for this they have allocated 2727 crores.

It was started in 5th century in bihar, university got the name of the place where it is locate. During ancient days it was spread out in 14 hectares , during this period lot of students from foreign were studied under it. It was completely destroyed in 1197 due to Turkish Invasion. In ancient days it acted as bridge for connecting foreigners and Indians.
